Coordinating Window Treatments

Considerations When New Coordinating Window Treatments

When it comes to coordinating window treatments, one area of confusion for many is in trying to coordinate shades between horizontal blinds and vertical blinds, especially when the blinds will be in the same room together.  One thing that is not well known is that blind manufacturers have actually planned for this and created several window treatment styles that can be coordinated together.  Two of these companies to do this are Bali and Levolor.

Bali is one of the companies that have the most styles that coordinate together.  Bali has pleated, roman, cellular, wood, vinyl and roller shades that have matching vertical blinds. Each one of the above mentioned styles have actual coordinating vertical options that are in the same material or fabric.

Levolor continues its faux wood blinds into a line of verticals and has common colors from cellulars and roman shades which match the  Perceptions line.  The Perceptions line is a soft, vertical shade that look like drapery, but has slats like verticals.

As you can see there is no need to fret if you are shopping for new window treatments and don’t want to choose a different style for your windows than the sliding glass door.  All you have to do is choose from one of these window treatment lines and your bases are covered!
