In the last couple of years, sheet vinyl flooring has lost some of it’s popularity because more and more people are choosing laminate flooring, plank vinyl flooring or peel and stick tiles.  If you are looking at new flooring and aren’t sure what to get don’t cross sheet vinyl off your list just yet! Sheet vinyl is a great floor for anyone who needs something waterproof, durable and easy to clean.

Sheet vinyl flooring is the original water proof flooring material! As long as it is installed correctly and is well secured you don’t have to worry about water spilling on it.  It won’t damage your subfloor.

A good quality vinyl is also very durable.  Look for a product with at least a 15 year warranty if you are hard on your flooring or will have furniture such as a dining table and chairs scooting across it.

Vinyl is also easy to clean.  You can use a steam mop or a regular mop on it.  You don’t have to worry about the amount of water you use.  Which is a very different story from laminate flooring.

Just because vinyl isn’t the latest and greatest flooring doesn’t mean that you won’t be happy with it.  If you choose a good quality vinyl to begin with you can enjoy it for years to come!
