For awhile now I’ve been thinking about how great it would be if my stainless steel kitchen faucet was as easy to clean as my refrigerator. You see, I purposely chose a finish for my refrigerator that looked like stainless steel but didn’t show finger prints. I think the option was called CleanSteel or something like that. Anyway, I am getting really tired of always having to clean the finger prints and water spots off my kitchen faucet. Then today I ran across an advertisement for a new finish on kitchen faucets. It’s called Spot Resist Finish by Moen.
The Spot Resist Finish by Moen is available on kitchen faucets, bathroom faucets and tub/shower faucets. Spot Resist is supposed to do exactly what it sounds like: resist finger prints and water spots. While I haven’t seen this finish in person just yet, I’m pretty sure it does what it says. If my refrigerators can do it, why can’t kitchen faucets?
The Spot Resist Finish is currently offered on ten different products from Moen. The price range starts around $130 for a basic kitchen faucet and goes up to around $600 depending on the product and style. Which puts this kitchen faucet in an affordable price range. I predict this finish will take off and in time will be available on many more faucets and fixtures to come!
